RACHEL A. TABLAZON

Born and raised in Cuyo, Palawan,
Rachel A. Tablazon is a native
Cuyonon speaker. She has a Master
of Arts degree in Education and was
an Associate Professor at the
Palawan State University until she
retired. Rachel is involved in several
community outreach programs and
active in several organizations
involving the Cuyonon communities.
She is CLCP's main liaison in Puerto
Princesa, Palawan.
PHEBE ABIS
Field Researcher

Phebe travelled all over Cuyo and other places in
Palawan to make audio tapes of Cuyonon speakers
on topics assigned by CLCP lexicographers. She is
responsible for the bulk of CLCP's archive of spoken
Cuyonon. She has a bachelor's degree in Religious
Education. Born and raised in Cuyo, she now stays
mostly on her farm in Nagtalola, Dumaran,
Philippines.

Ellen, as she is fondly called by friends and family, transcribed all of
the taped interviews that are now in the CLCP archives. She began the
transcriptions in Puerto Princesa, Palawan and continued the work
when she immigrated to the United States. She now resides with her
husband and son in Maryland.
